Community Baptist Church What to Expect

Thank you for considering a visit to our church! Here's what to expect when you come.

What to expect on your first visit

Our worship service begins at 11:00am. We usually just come through the front doors where you can take a weekly bulletin that contains the program for the service, announcements, and other information. A pastor or other member will greet you and make sure you have what you need. Feel free to sit anywhere you like!

Our service begins with a welcome and announcements,  Then we sing a few praise songs including both hymns and newer worship songs. We have a time of prayer and offering, then a Bible reading and sermon to expound on it. Finally we sing another hymn or worship song, hear a benediction (blessing) from the Bible, and dismiss.

Once a month, usually the first Sunday of the month, we share the Lord’s Supper, a time when Christians remember Jesus’ broken body and shed blood for us. The bread and cup are passed around to everyone as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice for us. You are not required to participate but all believers are welcome.

People usually hang out and talk for a little while afterward so feel free to stay and meet the pastor and other members! We would love to meet you and learn if there is any way we can pray for you.

What to Wear?

The Bible says “the Lord looks at the heart” and we want to be like him! Our members dress anywhere from casual to formal and everything in between! You may see cargo shorts and fancy dresses on the same day. Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. We don’t care as much about what you wear as we care about you!

Whatever we put on, we like to draw minimal attention to ourselves since all the focus and glory is for God alone!

What's for Kids?

Each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM we have Sunday school for children and adults. The children’s Sunday school meets in the left-most building and is for children from about age 3-12. Teens are also welcome to attend as helpers if desired.

At 10:45 we go to the kitchen for snacks between services and play outside.

During the worship servie at 11:00, all ages worship together, but we also have folders with coloring pages and other activities for children near the front doors, if desired.

Our children always enjoy playing with new friends, so we hope you and your children can visit soon!
